This is Ariana’s (she/they) debut solo exhibition. Ari’s work is deeply rooted in folk tradition, both through their Hungarian-American heritage and lineage in North Carolina pottery apprenticeship. As a child of immigrants living in America, Ari values the importance of generational knowledge in a hyper-modern world. Artist talk at 6 PM. Light refreshments will be served. |

Home, I’m Darling is a dark comedy about the quest to be the perfect 1950’s housewife. Judy has Johnny’s slippers waiting for him when he arrives home from work, the kitchen’s clean, the rooms are aired…but don’t be fooled – this isn’t the 1950’s, but a 21st-century ‘arrangement’ between the two of them. See what happens when Judy and Johnny try to “live the dream” with clothes, furniture, and a (faulty) fridge from the 1950’s, but with 21st-century problems. Directed by Jenny Hollingworth. |
