Melissa Weiss has been our Resident Artist for the past 6 weeks, having come to us from Asheville, North Carolina. Her work here culminates in a pop-up ceramics sale cohosted by the Center and Dos’ Bar.
Melissa makes functional ceramics like bowls, candle holders, cups, and more. Motifs that inspire her work include Greek, Etruscan, Roman, Egyptian symbolism, and medieval imagery, such as lute players, snakes, swans, and archetypal figures.
