Join Sonoma’s Free Spirits Gospel Choir, conducted by 2019 Sonoma Treasure Artist Cynthia Tarr, on Saturday, May 16, or Sunday, May 17, for an upbeat combination of traditional and contemporary music that will lift you up!

This exhibition celebrates the art of etching and the vibrant community of printmakers it continues to inspire. Rooted in a tradition that values both technical precision and creative experimentation, etching has long offered artists a powerful and expressive means of working in ink and paper.

Remember! We’re celebrating Earth tomorrow. We encourage everyone to walk or bike to the Center tomorrow. The parking lot will fill quickly due to food trucks and vendors. Overflow parking is available at Trinity Episcopal Church, 275 E Spain St.

Experience a special behind-the-scenes look at the art of etching as artist Art Hazelwood returns to print at the Sonoma Community Center. For this event, Hazelwood will print the official exhibition poster using the Griffin etching press, which was donated to SCC’s Print Studio by Eastside Editions when it closed. The upcoming exhibition will open to the public on Friday, May 1st.

Sonoma Valley Catalyst Fund holds an annual event, Sonoma Valley Star Volunteer Awards, to honor the “Star Volunteers” of nonprofits in the Valley. The 2026 awards were held last Saturday, March 21, at Vintage House. The Center’s own Jill Valavanis designed the wonderful star ribbons that identified all of the honorees!

On the first Friday of the month, our Culinary Department, led by Chef G, will have lunch available at the “Community Table.” For our inaugural meal, we are selling crisp tacos dorados filled with potato & shredded beef, topped with fresh veggies, two cheeses, sour cream, and habanero salsa. $18 per plate includes 4 tacos and an agua fresca. Pre-order and pick up anytime between noon and 2 PM.
