The Sonoma Police Report Live show promises to be a very fun, crazy, kooky show about the history of Sonoma you won’t find in winery gift shops, hotel brochures, destination magazine ads, or “Top 10 small towns to live in” lists. Join us for a raucous staged reading of excerpts from the hilarious book “Sonoma Police Report: funny, odd tales from the Wine Country,” along with fun audience-involved games. Starring author/playwright Joshua Farrell, Joe Herrschaft, Vanessa Rognlien, Cat Smith, and Molly Spencer, with a little assistance from DJ StaRJay.

Join us for an intimate concert in Room 110. TJ Carter and her 4-piece band will perform a heartfelt tribute to iconic female voices from Patsy Cline to Adele.

Submissions will be open through March 13. Show dates are Tuesday, April 2 to Saturday, April 25. New this year: bags! Upcycled fanny packs, purses, totes, backpacks… in the spirit of Barbie’s love of fashion, create a bag for this show. (Human size, of course.)

Designers are invited to create wearable art that will strut down the runway for the 16th annual Trashion Fashion Shows on April 18th. From first-time makers to seasoned creatives, individuals or groups, including adults, teens, and kids (over age 9), are encouraged to apply. Outfits must be made from materials that have been previously used, found at thrift stores, or rescued from the trash.

From the curators, “It is with the deepest intentionality that we present Craft in the Valley, an exhibition honoring the enduring value of handmade craft and the artisans who keep these traditions alive. In a world increasingly shaped by mass production and digital speed, this exhibition invites us to slow down and consider the meaning, beauty, and depth that come from work made by hand.”

The Relief Residency Program was born in response to the devastating impact of Hurricane Helene on so many in the craft community in Western North Carolina. The Center saw an opportunity to re-imagine resources we already had to support artists across the country. We transformed our traditional six-month residency to a series of shorter, funded residencies designed to generate income and support artists who have lost their studio or livelihood due to natural or man-made disasters.
